My 'after the rain came'walk produced a lovely surprise. I happened upon this little duck which had just ventured out of the water.

Eventually it stopped raining and I decided it would be lovely to go for a walk with the camera. Even the flowers were soaked with sadness at the lack of August sun. Oh well, there is always tomorrow...

Charity Shop Finds

I love these little Charity Shop finds that only cost £1.00 each. The soap dish will fit snugly in the corner of the bath and the little Devon cream jug, which is so gorgeous, just cries out for a cream-tea party. Two little delights.

Lori's Birthday Meal

Lori is coming round and we thought we would cook her something special because it was her birthday yesterday. I perused the recipe books and cards, looked at what we had in the fridge then stopped for a quick coffee and a long, hard think...

By the way the coffee cups were a Charity Shop find (limited edition specially made for Nescafe). I think I will have a little nibble with that coffee. Oooh! Those plants look like they need a drink too. Still thinking about what to make Lori when I spotted the lovely rye bread I bought yesterday and my mind wanders to lunch...
