Campsis

The Campsis is in full bloom now and look at all those gorgeous buds ready to burst forth - I can't wait.

Roses Grow on You.

This poor rose looks as if it is drowning amongst all this foliage.

So, I decided to change the vase and just add a touch of ivy and hey presto!

Climbing Rose

This climbing rose is another of my favourites.

Campsis

I am so excited because my favourite climber/shrub has just begun to bloom - the flowers are not open yet. This plant has the most beautiful flowers which I will photograph when they are in full bloom. Everyone should have Campsis in their gardens.

Lap-top Holder

It makes a great lap-top holder.

Little Antiques

I love my two little antique finds. A teapot that looks like Aladdin's Lamp and a lovely 1950's hand-mirror, both for six pounds. The magazine rack was bought from a car boot sale for one pound and I have a little idea about its use...

Don't say Ice-cream say Gelato

It's that time of year when we all love the occasional ice-cream. Those blueberries look so tasty. Top by Sugar Cookie, middle by Wellesley Townsman and bottom by ecurry.com

Out and About

Whilst out and about earlier this evening I took a few snaps.

Soup bowls

I bought these beautiful soup bowls in a Charity Shop - £2.00 for 5. Aren't they exquisite?

A Rose by any other name.

Padded Notice Board

1. Take one cork board (50p at a Car Boot Sale).
2. Add an old pillow.
3. Seek out old bits of material.
4. Wrap the material over the pillow and (using a staple gun)staple
the material and pillow to the wooden edges of the cork board.
5. I have used two large, suede laces from an old pair of boots (but
you could use ribbon etc).
6. Hey Presto! Portrait or landscape; you choose!

Too hot for Gardening

Sips of ice-cold water on this very hot summer's day in England. Yes, definitely too hot for gardening.

Garden Foliage

It's amazing how a little foliage from the garden and a couple of flowers (in this case Hypericum)can make a lovely fresh display at no cost. I have put it on my kitchen windowsill.

Garden Foliage

I know I have a long way to go but I thought you might like to watch as I hope to develop a flair for arranging flowers.

Buttonholes and Posies

I thought I would try my hand at flower arranging.
