Dare to be Different

For a different way of growing.

If you have limited outdoor space then this could be the answer. Vertigro have launched this vertically-raised garden bed that can be used as a mini-allotment or on a patio or balcony as a mini kitchen garden. I love it and even though I have ample space I would love one outside my back door as an easy-to-access herb garden. I now need to start saving my pennies as the cost is £300.00.

Chinese Chicken

Chinese Chicken and roasted baby new potatoes is a favourite in our house.

Twice as Nice

I couldn't resist these lovely leather mirrors with their beautiful roses and butterflies. I am planning to decorate my bedroom soon and I think they would sit beautifully on the wall each side of the bed. They were 99p each in my local charity shop. The gorgeous apron was £1.49, it has such a beautiful heart-pocket on it and I love the bright colours.

5 Minute Fix

I need some new lamps but meanwhile a 5 minute fix will have to do until I find what I really like.

Just Playing

5 Minute Fix

I decided to revamp the porch bench. The cushions are actually garden, kneeling cushions (originally £15.00 each in Marks and Spencer). So I was delighted to find excess stock had been donated to a local charity shop and I was able to purchase them for £5.00 each. The cotton cloth was £1.50 and the basket was £2.00 both from a local charity shop. The bench was bought for less than £5.00 a few years ago.
